Atos: stock up as 6 startups join incubator

(CercleFinance.com) - La Software République - an incubator founded by Atos, Dassault Systèmes, Orange, Renault Group, STMicroelectronics and Thales - today announced that six new startups will join the incubator, bringing the total to ten startups in its program.

Two of the startups are CORE for Tech, a deep tech company that measures and estimates drowsiness at the wheel, and Basemark, a software company offering development tools for the automotive industry.

Both join the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) project, which aims to improve the experience of drivers and passengers by developing new features using the customer's smartphone or tablet.

The incubator is working for Dacia to develop a feature that suggests when and where to take breaks on the journey, to help drivers plan their trip safely.

The Software Republic plans to develop this feature for the automotive industry.

Other startups to join the incubator are CommuniThings, Compredict, Entropy and Neovya.

Atos shares are up a healthy 4%, outpacing a downbeat market by 5% today.
