Atos: partnership with Stora Enso in retail solutions

(CercleFinance.com) - Atos and Stora Enso announce a partnership for a new automated retail service, based on the concept of "smart cabinets", i.
e. e-kiosks with RFID technology designed for mobile shopping using either smartphones or standard payment cards.

The partnership includes the commercialisation of the "New Retail as a Service" solution, which combines Stora Enso's technologies and Atos' experience, as well as its methodology in service delivery.

Stora Enso's "New Retail" solution uses durable RFID tags to track and trace stored items. These labels are made from paper and thus constitute a plastic-free and recyclable solution for the authentication of packaging.
