Crédit Agricole: record net income since bank listed
(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole SA has published Q2 underlying net income, group share of 1,418 million euros, up 19.
6% y-o-y, reaching its higher level since the banking group has been listed.
The group said that this very high result was obtained thanks to a strong level of business, quality margins and controlled risk in all businesses, with particularly strong performance in corporate banking/large clients.
All CASA divisions contributed to growth, as did the Corporate Centre, while there was a particularly high level of profitability in CIB. Finally, there was an excellent control of underlying costs, excluding SRF4.
Again in underlying terms, net banking income rose by 11.4% to 5,146 millions euros and with excellent cost control, EBITDA (excluding SRF4) rose by 17.5% to 2,162 million euros (+14.9% like-for-like).
