Nexans: anti-counterfeit labels for its cables

(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announced on Thursday that it will step up its efforts to combat counterfeiting of its cables by teaming up with the Austrian company Authentic Vision.


Under the terms of the partnership, the French group will adopt Authentic Vision's patented "Meta-Anchor" holographic labels to secure its products and supply chains by combating fraudulent trafficking.

This mobile solution enables customers to automatically verify the authenticity of Nexans cables before purchase and enables distributors to easily check the authenticity of the product using a smartphone.

Nexans said the method was "totally in line" with its strategy to offer value-added services to its clients.

Nexans and Authentic Vision say that they are considering other applications for this digital identification solution for physical products.
