Rothschild & Co: acquisition of Banque Pâris Bertrand

(CercleFinance.com) - Rothschild & Co has announced that its Swiss private banking subsidiary has reached an agreement to acquire Banque Pâris Bertrand, in a transaction that is expected to be completed in the first half of 2021, subject to customary conditions.


Banque Pâris Bertrand is headquartered in Switzerland and has operations in Geneva and Luxembourg. Its clientele consists of wealthy families, family offices and institutional investors from Switzerland, as well as other European countries.

The acquisition will result in a decrease of approximately 1% in Rothschild & Co's CET 1 ratio, which would fall from 19.6% to 18.6% (pro forma basis at 30 June 2020). The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
