Air France-KLM: net loss slashed in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has published a net loss of E344m for Q1 2023, which has nevertheless been reduced by E208m compared to the same period last year, with an operating margin that has improved by three points to -4.
8%.

The airline has announced EBITDA of E286m, on revenues that are up 42.4% at E6.33bn, driven by strong demand, with 19.7 million passengers flying, up 35%.

The Franco-Dutch group has also announced positive adjusted free operating cash flow at E0.7bn and solid cash of E9.7bn, as well as net debt that it has reduced by E0.9bn from the end of 2022.

Chief Executive Benjamin Smith also highlighted very encouraging ticket sales for the summer season, which he said sets the stage for a strong summer season across its global network.
