Air France-KLM: 2019 net income down 31%
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has reported FY 2019 net income that is down 31% at 290 million euros, with operating income down 19% to 1,141 million euros, while the number of passengers it transported increased by 2.
7% to 104.2 million.
The Franco-Dutch airline reported increased revenues for all activities in 2019, as well as unit costs that are down 0.9% at constant exchange rates and fuel, largely in line with its outlook.
For 2020, it plans to reduce unit costs between by up to 1% at constant exchange rates and fuel, in addition to an investment plan of 3.6 billion euros and a net debt/EBITDA ratio of around 1.5 times. Its fuel bill is expected to drop by 300 million euros.
