Kone: wins China elevator, escalator deal

(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Tuesday that it has signed a deal to provide 95 elevators and escalators to a mixed-use complex in Northwest China.


The firm said it would deliver 50 elevators and 45 escalators for the buildings, which will also be equipped with its control system that reduces waiting and traveling times.

The company will also supply a system that will monitor the performance of all the equipment in real time from a single location.

Located in Xi'an, the 470,000-square-metre Nanfeihong Plaza project will include a shopping mall, a boutique hotel and two office towers with respective heights of 196 meters and 135 meters.

It is exected to be completed in 2022.
