Kone: wins deal to equip Bangkok metro's 'orange' line

(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Friday it has won an order for 72 elevators and escalators for Bangkok metro's "orange" line, but did not unveil the deal value.


Kone will equip three stations, as well as three intervention shafts. The deal also includes an equipment monitoring system, it said.

In total, Bangkok's "orange" line will be 39.8 kilometres in length and travel between 28 stations, 21 of which will be underground.

The Bangkok metro currently has five lines in service, with the subway system expected to have 10 lines in the future.
