Kone: wins 60 lift, 14 escalator order in China

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Finnish lift maker Kone said that it has won an order for 60 elevators and 14 escalators for a new mixed-use development in the capital of Shandong province in eastern China.


The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 360-meter tower, which has 70 storeys, will include office space, a hotel, and an exclusive shopping center.

It will be equipped with Kone's equipment monitoring system that will track the performance of all elevators and escalators in real time from a single location, Kone said. The contract also includes two years of maintenance.

The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
