Nokia: stock up as new campus' cornerstone laid

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced on Friday that it has laid the cornerstone for its new campus, which it plans to set up in the northern Finnish city of Oulu, not far from the country's border with Sweden.


The new site - which is set to have a surface area of around 55,000 square metres - will include product development, administrative functions and production facilities.

The building will be designed using natural materials in a sustainable manner.

It consists of two parts, a first set of offices with eight floors of flexible workspace and an industrial structure organised around an atrium.

The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

The share is up over 1.7% this afternoon.
