Nokia: to deploy IP routers for network in Iraq

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has been selected by Iraq's Ministry of Communication to deploy an IP routing technology that will serve as the main backbone of the country's Internet infrastructure, the Finnish company said on Tuesday.


Nokia said it will supply and install IP routers for the network, which serves millions of subscribers, also commissioning network design and integration professional services.

Iraqi telecommunication systems vendor Al-Awsat will provide support with installation, engineering works and required power supply through generators for the deployment, Nokia said in a statement.
