Nokia: partners Iliad to kick off 5G rollout

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is partnering with French telecom operator IIiad to roll out 5G networks across France and Italy, the companies said on Friday.


The deal will focus on network modernisation and 5G introduction in France and Italy, making 5G available to the carrier's 17 million subscribers across both countries, they said.

Iliad will install Nokia's newest radio access technology, as well as massive antennas that will ensure subscribers can benefit from the ultra-low latency and high-bandwidth of 5G.

Nokia has worked with IIiad since 2012 in France, followed by Italy since 2018.
