Nokia: to build cloud-based 5G network for Qatar's Ooredoo

(CercleFinance.com) - Qatar's telecommunications operator Ooredoo has chosen Nokia to build a 5G cloud-based network to support the delivery of new mobile broadband services, the Finnish company said on Thursday.


The 5G network wil be designed for applications such as machine learning, automation and micro-services use-cases for consumer and business customers, the supplier said.

Nokia's equipment will be deployed in Ooredoo's datacenters in Qatar's capital city Doha.
