Nokia: to collaborate with Zain in Saudi Arabia

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is to collaborate with telecoms company Zain to enable Saudi Arabia's engineers to create new products for the domestic market, the Finnish company said on Wednesday.


As part of the program, Nokia will provide cloud computing and IT service platforms with an open application programming interface (API) to be used in areas such as AR/VR, security, tracking, and gaming, the group said.

The collaboration is in line with the "Vision 2030" strategic plan unveiled by Saudi Arabia to diversify its largely oil-dependent economy.
