Nokia: 'strategic review' for digital health unit

(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia announced on Thursday a review of strategic alternatives for its digital health business.


The company said in a release that it has initiated a review of strategic options for the unit, which is part of its Nokia Technologies division.

The business manufactures and sells hybrid smart watches, scales and digital health devices to individual and corporate clients.

"The strategic review of the digital health business may or may not result in any transaction or other changes," Nokia said.

It added that the patent business, brand partnerships and technology licensing units in Nokia Technologies were not being considered in the review.

"Any further announcements (...) will be made if and when appropriate," it said.

Listed on Euronext Paris, the shares are currently up 2.3% at 4.6 euros after this news.
