Nokia: to be sole vendor for Telia's enhanced network

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said on Wednesday it would become the sole vendor for Telia's enhanced mobile broadband in the Nordics and the Baltics, covering Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania.


Telia has chosen Nokia's cloud packet core solution to meet demands for enhanced mobile broadband, prepare for enhanced digital services, and manage mobile network data demand, the Finnish telecoms gear maker said.

The deal is also set to provide Telia with a "solid foundational framework" for the path forward to 5G.
