Repsol: Barclays sees resilient start to year

(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays maintains its "equal weight" rating on Repsol shares with an unchanged price target of 19 euros after the Spanish energy group had a "resilient start to the year.
"

While Repsol's trading statement for the first quarter of 2018 contained "few surprises," the broker says the main focus of the quarter has been the resilience of the downstream business, together with the earnings potential of the upstream business "in the prevailing environment."

However, in the research note issued this morning, BarCap says that it currently sees "value elsewhere in the sector."
