Siemens Gamesa: collaboration with Eurowind Energy

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has announced a new collaboration with its long-standing partner Eurowind Energy to return to the Romanian wind energy sector, after nearly 10 years on hiatus.


The agreement with Eurowind includes the supply of eight SG 6.6-170 turbines to the Pecineaga wind project at a site that is about 50 km away from Constanta.

The turbines will be installed on 135-metre towers and the installation is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024.

The companies have also signed a 20-year service contract covering the maintenance of the turbines over this period.
