Siemens Gamesa: 60 offshore wind turbines in Scotland

(CercleFinance.com) - Yesterday Siemens Gamesa announced that it has won a firm order to supply 60 SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines, each with a capacity of 14.
7MW, for the 882MW Moray West offshore wind project in north-east Scotland.

The 180 108-metre blades of the 60 turbines will be produced at the company's offshore blade factory in Hull, England, Siemens Gamesa said.

The first wind turbine is set to be deployed and commissioned by 2024.

Moray West will thus serve as the first series installation for this 14 MW turbine, which already has over 14 GW of firm orders.
