Siemens Gamesa: offers recyclable wind turbine blades

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has announced the launch of RecyclableBlade, the world's first recyclable wind turbine blades for commercial offshore use.


The launch marks a major milestone for Siemens Gamesa, which has aims to make wind turbines fully recyclable by 2040.

Siemens Gamesa says it has already signed agreements with three of its major customers, RWE, EDF Renewables and wpd, for the installation of RecyclableBlade in various offshore projects.

The first six 81-metre long RecyclableBlades have been produced at the Siemens Gamesa blade factory in Aalborg, Denmark, it said.
