Siemens Gamesa: wins order for 62 wind turbines

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy announced this Friday that it has received a firm order from Ailes Marines, a subsidiary of Iberdrola, for 62 offshore wind turbines for a 496 MW offshore wind power plant in the Bay of Saint Brieuc, in Britanny, France.


This order also includes a 10-year contract for turbine maintenance services.

”The main components of the 62 turbines of the Bay of Saint Brieuc offshore wind power plant will be produced at Siemens Gamesa's planned offshore wind turbine factory in Le Havre. The Bay of Saint Brieuc offshore wind power plant will produce the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 835,000 people,” the group said.
