Siemens Gamesa: buys some of Senvion's assets

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy announces an agreement to acquire some of Senvion group's European assets for a total of 200 million euros, a deal that will mean the transfer of approximately 2,000 employees to the group.


The assets include a large portion of the onshore service business in Europe, all associated assets and activities, all of Senvion's intellectual property, and the onshore blade manufacturing site in Vagos, Portugal.

Subject to customary regulatory approvals and other conditions, the acquisition of these assets is expected to be completed in the first half of Siemens Gamesa's fiscal year of 2019-20 and will therefore have no financial impact on FY 2018-19.
