BME: Spanish authorities approve offer from SIX

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss financial group SIX said on Friday that it has received authorisation from the Spanish market regulator CNMV for its all-cash tender offer for Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles, the operator of the Madrid stock exchange.


During its 43-day offer, BME shareholders may tender their shares to receive 33.40 euros per share in cash, SIX said.

SIX said it intends to preserve and strengthen BME's position in Spain by maintaining its brands, current business activities, headquarters and office locations, and by investing in new technologies and growth opportunities.
