BBVA: record profit of E6.42bn in 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - BBVA has posted net profit of 6.
42 billion euros for FY 2022 (+38% at current exchange rates, +39% in constant euros).

BBVA's management said that its growth resulted in the highest profit in its history, with significant loan growth and major progress in its strategy, focused on digitalisation, innovation and sustainability.

Net interest income climbed to 19.15 billion euros, +35.8% y-o-y at constant exchange rates. Gross income rose to 24.89 billion euros, +22.9% y-o-y.

Regarding profitability, ROE reached 14.6% and ROTE was 15.3% at end-December.
