Novo Nordisk: large quantum computing project

(CercleFinance.com) - Novo Nordisk announced on Wednesday that it will provide 200 million dollars in financial support through its corporate foundation for a quantum computing project that will focus on the development of new medicines.


The program, which will last 12 years, will also address related issues of climate change and energy transition, is a collaboration between the Danish pharmaceutical company and the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen.

Other institutions involved are the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (US), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Aarhus (Denmark), and the University of Toronto.
