Siemens Healthineers: AlphaValue upgrades to 'add'

(CercleFinance.com) - AlphaValue on Wednesday said it has upgraded its rating on German medical technology company Siemens Healthineers from "reduce" to "add," citing the benefit of buying the US group Varian.


In a note to clients, the Paris-based independent equity research house said that the acquisition has the potential to play cancer treatment "differently".

"We expect the development of new types of machines, which will have greater precision invtargeting solid tumours," AlphaValue wrote, while acknowledging that the acquisition is "expensive."

AlphaValue has a 6-month price target of 44.8 euros on the stock.
