Porsche: strategic partnership with Bugatti-Rimac

(CercleFinance.com) - Porsche has announced one of the most exciting cooperation projects in the automotive world, with the creation, as from 1 November, of the Bugatti-Rimac joint venture, which is 55%-owned by Rimac and 45%-owned by Porsche.


For the record, the Rimac group is shared between Mate Rimac (35%), Porsche (22%), Hyundai (11%) and other investors (32%).

Its managing director will be Mate Rimac, founder and managing director of Rimac Automobili, who aid that it is difficult to find a better match than Rimac and Bugatti. Rimac's electrification skills are the perfect complement to Bugatti's exceptional heritage and expertise.

As part of the joint venture, Bugatti and Rimac Automobili will continue to operate as independent brands and manufacturers and will retain their respective production facilities in Zagreb (Croatia) and Molsheim (France), as well as their distribution channels.
