flatexDEGIRO: 2021 targets achieved, looks to 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - flatexDEGIRO has announced that it has achieved its commercial targets for 2021 and has highlighted the sharp increase in the number of customer accounts, which rose from 55% from 1.
33 million in 2020 to 2.06 million in 2021.

Furthermore, with 91 million transactions processed in 2021 (+21% compared to 2020), the broker is now the leasing European online retail broker, it says.

As such, flatexDEGIRO is targeting a further 30%-40% increase in the number of customer accounts in 2022, which would lead to a total of 2.7 to 2.9 million customer accounts. The broker also aims to increase the number of transactions in 2022, looking for a total of between 95-to-115 million.

The company says its expectations are based on conservative assumptions, with an average of 40-45 transactions per customer, compared with an average of 55 in 2021.
