E.ON: installs core of the Arkona offshore wind project

ON has now installed the electric offshore transformer station at a water depth of almost 30 metres for its Arkona offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea, the company said on Monday. The 60 Siemens wind turbines will start to be erected in late summer, with the wind farm's complete commissioning - located 35 kilometres offshore Northeast of Germany - planned for 2019.
