Bayer: to transfer Berlin research unit to Nuvisan

(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer said that it has entered into a definitive agreement to transfer a large part of its Berlin-based small molecule research unit to German laboratory group Nuvisan.


The partnership will lay the foundation for a brand new research unit in Berlin with around 400 specialised jobs dedicated to the entire drug discovery value chain, the chemicals giant said.

Bayer said it will still keep significant research activities in Berlin, which remains the headquarters for its pharmaceuticals division and one of its major global research sites.

Financial terms were not provided.
