Bayer: signs license agreement in animal health

(CercleFinance.com) - The German group Bayer has signed a global license agreement with American biopharma firm ParaTheraTech to strengthen its portfolio of products for farm animals.


Both companies will advance new treatment options for cryptosporidiosis, whcih causes early-life diarrhea affecting dairy and beef cattle.

As part of the deal, Bayer will develop and market novel compounds that are based on knowledge and intellectual property licensed by PTT from the University of Washington.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
