BASF: completes divestment of minerals business

(CercleFinance.com) - On 30 September BASF completed the divestment of its kaolin minerals business to KaMin, a performance minerals company headquartered in Macon, Georgia, US.


The kaolin minerals business has approximately 440 employees, including staff in North America, Europe and Asia.

It generated sales of approximately 171 million euros in 2021.

The divestment includes the production centre with sites in Daveyville, Toddville, Edgar, Gordon and related mines, reserves and plants in Toomsboro and Sandersville in Georgia.

The refining catalyst operations at the same location will continue to be owned and operated by BASF's refining catalyst business and are not part of the divestment.
