BASF: invests in battery recycling in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Yesterday BASF announced the construction of a battery recycling plant in the German town of Schwarzheide.
BASF will take advantage of the strong presence of electric car manufacturers and battery cell producers in Central Europe to develop this activity.
As a reminder, the company already has a production and recycling centre for cathode-active materials (CAM) in Schwarzheide.
BASF says that the new site should enable the creation of around thirty jobs, with operations set to start in 2024.
