Allianz: Barclays still 'Overweight' on share

(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays confirms its "overweight" recommendation on the Allianz share, along with its adjusted target price of 225 euros, in a note on the European insurance industry, in which it considers "Yield reliability supporting the sector".


"Insurers continue to trade at a P/E discount vs the market, albeit slightly below the historical average - most pronounced for UK stocks given political uncertainty," the broker notes.

"If short-term headwinds can be obvious (Brexit, lower rates, upcoming dividend detachments), investors will continue to reward a steady generation of capital and lower volatility in earnings," it believes.
