Lufthansa: slashes net loss in Q3

(CercleFinance.com) - Lufthansa Group has reported a net loss of 72 million euros for Q3 2021, compared to a staggering two billion euros a year ago, along with positive adjusted EBIT of 17 million euros (and even 272 million euros excluding restructuring costs), compared to -1.
3 billion euros.

At 5.2 billion euros, the German airline's revenues almost doubled (+96%) year-on-year, with 19.6 million passengers carried over the three months, or 46% of the traffic achieved in Q3 2019, before the pandemic began.

For FY 2021, Lufthansa continues to expect revenue growth and an adjusted EBIT loss of less than half that of the previous year.

Investors clearly like this improvement, with the share is taking off almost 5% on Wednesday morning.
