Volkswagen: 2017 group sales reach all-time high

(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen said auto sales at its multi-brand group reached record levels in 2017, helped by a continued strong demand in China.


Deliveries at the VW group rose by 4.3% to 10.74 million vehicles, the Wolfsburg-based carmaker said on Wednesday.

Out of this amount, 4.2 million new vehicles (+5.1%) were delivered to China over the twelve-month period, it added.

In December, group sales grew by 8.5% to 999,800 cars, VW said.
