Volkswagen: Porsche invests in Israeli start-up

(CercleFinance.com) - Porsche, Volkswagen Group's luxury car brand, announced last night that it has taken a stake in TriEye, an Israeli start-up specializing in automotive sensors.


The sports car maker says it took a minority stake in this company that is based in Tel Aviv, which has developed short-wave infrared, or SWIR, technology

Its semiconductors aim to improve the safety of driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles by increasing vision capability under adverse conditions such as fog, dust or rain.

Founded in 2017, Intel has already taken a stake in TriEye's capital.
