Siemens: pays E200m in Covid bonuses to employees

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens announced Monday that it intends to pay some 200 million euros in bonuses to its staff so they too can benefit from its sound performances published despite the impact of Covid.

The German industrial group - which recently opened a "new chapter" in its history with the spin-off of Siemens Energy - explains that it will offer up to 1000 euros to each of its employees, a measure that will not, however, concern top management.

The bonus, which will be paid by the end of the year, should also help employees meet exceptional expenses incurred due to the pandemic, the Munich based group said in a statement.

Indeed, although the group has experienced difficulties itself, it would like to recognise the extraordinary performance of its staff during these particularly difficult times. As such, this payment reflects its appreciation to those who have helped it during these tricky times.
