Siemens: launches research project with Evonik
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens and Evonik announce the launch of their joint Rheticus II research project to develop a test plant that will use CO2, water, renewable electricity and bacteria to produce specialty chemicals.
Through the Rheticus I project, both groups worked for two years to develop a technically feasible database for artificial photosynthesis using a bioreactor and electrolysers. Their combination will be tested on the Evonik site in Marl, Germany.
