Siemens: names CFO for new gas and power unit

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens said alongside its quarterly report that it has appointed Klaus Patzak as the chief financial officer of the company's new gas and power unit.


Last month, Patzak, 54, was named a managing partner of the Siemens Portfolio Companies, which bundles several Siemens units operating independently under the same umbrella.

In his new role, Patzak will be responsible for building the corporate governance structures, preparing for a carving out and listing, and helping to shape the format of the future stand-alone energy business, the German conglomerate said.

He will report directly to Lisa Davis, the CEO of this yet-to-be-created unit.
