Daimler: Amazon orders Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles

(CercleFinance.com) - The US tech giant Amazon has announced an order of over 1,800 electric vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Vans for its delivery fleet in Europe, vehicles that will be operational in 2020, which will help save thousands of tons of CO2.


As part of its commitment to reduce transport emissions, Mercedes-Benz is also joins The Climate Pledge, which calls on signatories to be CO2 neutral in their operations by 2040, i.e. ten years ahead of the Paris Accord target.
