Merck KGaA: commits to British contractor Physiomics

(CercleFinance.com) - Britain's Physiomics said on Thursday that its German client Merck KGaA has committed to several projects for 2021, representing a total value of 270,000 pounds (about 300,000 euros).


The UK oncology consultancy firm - which uses mathematical models to support the development of cancer treatments and personalised drugs - said the projects are expected to be completed during the first six to eight months of the next calendar year.

Physiomics said it expects further contracts to be signed with the German drugmaker next year, with initial orders set to exceed the 250,000 pound deals announced in late 2019.

Perhaps more importantly, the firm - which provides predictive modelling services - said it expects its strong relationship with this long-term client to continue. Its shares were up just 0.9% in London after the announcement.
