Infineon: Wolfgang Eder appointed chair of supervisory board

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday the former CEO of the Austrian steelmaker voestalpine, Dr.
Wolfgang Eder, was named chairman of the supervisory board of the German semiconductor maker Infineon.

Aged 67, Wolfgang Eder replaces Eckart Sunner, 75, who resigned last February as chairman of the board at the group's AGM, just under a year after his appointment.

The Infineon Supervisory Board has also decided to extend the mandate of 63-year-old Dr. Reinhard Ploss as its CEO.

His mandate, which was due to expire in September 2020, has been extended until the end of 2022.
