Fresenius SE: continued growth in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - German medical group Fresenius SE has reported H1 2018 revenues of 16.
5 billion euros, down 2% on a reported basis due to currency fluctuations, although up 6% at constant currencies (with +5% in Q2).

Excluding biosimilars, the group's operating income came in at 2.3 billion euros (-5% and +1% respectively), with its net income reaching 975 million euros (+6% and +12%).

Over FY 2018, excluding FX factors Fresenius SE still expects sales to rise by 5% to 8%, with earnings growth of 6% to 9% (i.e. excluding biosimilars: still about +10% to +13%). The group has said that it has raised its forecast for growth in Kabi division's operating profit (from -3%/-6% to -2%/+1%).
