Fraport: all financial targets reached in 2017
(CercleFinance.com) - German airport operator Fraport has reached all its revenue and earnings targets for 2017, with international business bringing a major contribution to results, the company said on Friday.
The group's revenue rose by almost 13.5% to 2.9 billion euros in 2017, thanks to a "major" contribution from the Greek airports that Fraport began operating last year.
While operating income slipped slightly (-4.8%) to 1 billion euros, Ebitda would have increased by approximately 18% excluding one-off effects related to compensation payments and divestments, it said.
For 2018, Fraport expects to continue with growth, anticipating consolidated revenue of 3.1 billion euros, with EBITDA expected in a range of 1.08 billion to 1.11 billion euros.
The Fraport share is currently down 2.5% at 84.3 euros after these results, underperforming a 0.1% dip in the broader MDAX index in Frankfurt.
