Beiersdorf: H1 better than expected

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Beiersdorf reported a stronger-than-expected recovery in its H1 sales, with the Nivea cream maker having notably benefited from strong demand in the Americas.


Over H1, the German group recorded sales of nearly 3.9 billion euros, up 12.3%, including organic growth of 16.2%.

By way of comparison, analysts expected sales of closer to 3.8 billion euros.

Beiersdorf said that it expects FY 2021 sales growth of 5% to 10% for its consumer products, as well as an operating margin at the same level as that last year.

Investors applauded these results, with its share up almost 9% on Thursday morning in Frankfurt.
