Beiersdorf: hires Colgate executive as new finance chief

(CercleFinance.com) - Beiersdorf on Wednesday named a consumer goods executive from outside the company as its next finance chief.


The Hamburg-based maker of Nivea creams said that Astrid Hermann would join, effective 1 January 2021, taking over as chief financial officer from Dessi Temperley, who is leaving the company at the end of her three-year term of office.

Astrid Hermann, 47 years old, was most recently responsible for the finance division of the North American business at Colgate-Palmolive.

She joined the US consumer giant in 2004 and previously held various senior financial positions in Germany, the UK, Switzerland and the US.
