BMW: starts production of new BMW iX1 begins

(CercleFinance.com) - BMW announced on Friday that it has started production of the BMW iX1, its new 100% electric SUV, at the German plant in Regensburg, Bavaria.


The premium carmaker said the project illustrates the speed with which it has succeeded in deploying its electromobility strategy.

The carmaker points out that all its German plants are now capable of producing electric vehicles. By 2024, at least one in three vehicles produced in Bavaria will be electric.
