UBS: to redeem AT1 bonds
(CercleFinance.com) - UBS today announced that it intends to redeem all of its outstanding 2 billion dollar perpetual super subordinated AT1 bonds on 31 January 2023.
The bonds were issued by UBS Group AG on 31 January 2018 and are listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. Today's decision reflects the Swiss bank's long-standing call policy of carefully evaluating all relevant factors, including the market environment, economic costs, business growth and funding plans, as well as the current and future regulatory value of the capital instrument.
